Catchment Areas

WHAT ARE CATCHMENT AREAS?

A catchment area is the geographic area from which students are eligible to attend a local school. These areas are determined by the Board of Education and will normally be defined as the school closest to the student’s permanent residence. Catchment areas help to ensure that each school has the capacity to accommodate the anticipated enrollment of students within the area. Note, catchments are subject to change, so please refer to the adjacent maps provided to review the boundaries.
