Student Registration/Transfer

Student registrations and transfer requests are completed online.

 

If you do not have access to the technology needed to register online, please contact your catchment school to book an appointment for assistance.

 

Please have the following documents ready in digital format (photo or scanned copy) before starting your registration:

  • Proof of student’s birthdate
    (Birth certificate or passport)
  • Proof of BC address
    (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement, or government-issued document)
  • Legal custody or guardianship documents, if applicable

Important Dates to Note:

Transfer Requests – Next School Year

  • Transfer requests for the next school year must be submitted between January 1 and February 28 to be considered for placement at the start of the school year.
  • Requests submitted after the February deadline will not be processed until September.

 

Kindergarten Registration

  • Kindergarten registration typically takes place during the last week of January.
  • Registrations received after June 30 will be reviewed at the end of August or beginning of September and are subject to space availability.

Student Transportation (Separate Application Required)

The KCSD offers transportation to eligible students. If your child requires transportation, please visit the district Transportation page to review eligibility criteria and submit an application.

Please note: Student registration and transportation registration are two separate processes.
